Ambulatory Surgery Center Manager

Is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Center within the authority of the governing Board by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. The management spectrum covers planning, organizing, delegating, coordinating, staff utilization, budgeting, controlling, and marketing the services provided by the facility. Knowledge of patient care standards and management practices in a healthcare environment normally acquired through completion of a degree in a healthcare industry from an accredited school. An active Wisconsin nursing license required. BLS required. ACLS preferred. Minimum of five (5) years experience within the healthcare industry with minimum of two (2) years in supervisory or administrative position. Prefer one year in ambulatory care. Basic computer knowledge. Knowledge of reimbursement issues such as coding and managed care contracting. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Additional languages preferred. Demonstrated communication skills which indicate ability to be successful at counseling, teaching, marketing, and public relations. Possesses ability to read, analyze, and interpret common professional journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Possesses ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Possesses ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or Boards of Directors. Possesses ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and basic fundamentals of accounting, budgeting and forecasting. Possesses ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Possesses ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, medical notes, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Able to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
