The Data Insights team at Yahoo! uses one of the world's largest data sources and a consumer-centric data platform to improve Yahoo! products, deliver business insights, and enable innovative marketing solutions. DATA is critical to the construction, execution, and refinement of advertising, marketing and product plans at Yahoo!. As a member of Yahoo!'s Data Insights Team, you will be responsible for providing data-driven marketing research, comprehensive data analysis and consulting services to the Yahoo! Network. As an analyst, your efforts will help influence business, product, marketing and advertising strategies by providing insights about who our consumers are, how they use our products, and how they interact with our advertisers. You will work closely with Marketing, Sales, Research, Product and Business Operations to understand needs, develop actionable research methodologies and plans, translate business needs into data requests, manage engineers procuring data, analyze results, and present findings to senior management. Minimum Job Qualifications:
* 2-4 years of experience in quantitative research or analyses
* Technical skills to handle large datasets using statistical software such as SPSS or SAS and knowledge of SQL
* Strong communication skills
* Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
* A degree in an analytical field, such as Computer Science, Mathematics or Economics Preferred Job Qualifications:
* Self-starter with a passion for data
* Experience working with web logs data
* Experience in data-driven marketing, market research, quantitative management consulting, advertising or data mining (preferably with online experience)
* Proven ability to design and lead time-sensitive strategic research projects involving methodology development, analysis, strategic recommendations and presentation of findings to Senior Management
* Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple projects
* Strong business acumen to understand business strategy, interact with clients and present actionable findings
* Ability to remain productive and focused in a team-oriented, fast-paced, highly-matrixed and evolving environment
* Masters degree preferred
