National Account Manager – Description
The National Account Manager (NAM) is focused on new business development. This is an Inside/outside sales position that requires calling/prospecting in the NAM’s home region. The NAM will use a variety of resources to generate leads, and through the use of both traditional and electronic communications, will qualify opportunities , lead a potential client through the sales process, and book new business for XXX.
The typical activities the National Account Manager will be asked to perform include:
· Use both traditional and electronic communication tools (i.e phone and e-mail) to make contact with prospective, current and former XXX clients to identify business opportunities for XXX products and services
· Take sales opportunities through a sales process which result in additional sales revenues for XXX
· Use XXX provided hardware and software applications to research, enter data, and provide reporting related to functions of the position
· Create quotations and sales proposals for XXX products and services
Metrics
The National Account Manager will be required to meet the following criteria to maintain the position:
· Make a minimum of 20 in person sales calls per week
· Participate in a minimum of 20 qualified telephone conversations per week with prospective clients who have a decision-making role with regard to XXX products and services
· Communicate via e-mail with a minimum of 30 prospective, current or former clients per week to advance the sales process
· At the close of the third month of employment, have built a book of business that generates at least $20,000 in gross profit each month (average 200 transactions per month generating monthly revenues of approximately $200,000.00)
Compensation: base plus 3% commissions
Laptop/cell phone provided, and corporate credit card.
