Description Position Summary:
The Airports Ground Operations Crew will load and unload Customer luggage, meet arriving flights, help prepare and clean cabin for departure, operate ground service equipment, assist with fleet servicing, assist Customers with special needs, and any other ad-hoc requests as needed. Depending on the BlueCity, the Airports Ground Operations Crew will load and unload provisioning items for each flight. Flexibility of schedule is necessary as the position requires working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Maintaining a positive, good natured attitude through any problem is essential.

- Operates ground service equipment which may include deicing and provisioning equipment
- Services aircraft by operating ground service equipment (Potable water truck, ground power unit, tug, aircraft pushback, provisioning truck, lavatory truck, deicing truck, fork lift, etc.)
- Work in a ramp environment and/or depending on the location may work in a warehouse environment which will include loading and unloading palettes onto and off loading dock
- Tags, lifts, loads and unloads Customer luggage (up to 100 lbs) from baggage compartment of aircraft and baggage system
- Operates external aircraft equipment
- Helps prepare cabin for Customer boarding and departure, which can include cleaning of seats, seat pockets, floor, galleys and lavatories
- Assist Customers with special needs, e.g. Customers who need assistance in boarding
- Guides aircraft to and from aircraft parking locations
- Occasionally assist with loading and unloading mail, small packages and human remains
- Stocks provisioning carts and completes inventory counts
- Ad hoc assignments as requested by the Supervisor or General ManagerInteractions:

- High noise area (jet engines)Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
- One (1) year customer service or sales experience preferred but not required
- Previous airline experience preferred but not required
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Bilingual skills preferred but not required
- Willing to travel and/or work variable hours
- Must work flexible shifts, including holidays and weekends
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Able to lift up to 100 lbs
- Possess and maintain a valid Drivers License and a driving record from the state of your primary residence that meets JetBlue AirwaysÁ’ insurance standards
- Regular attendance and punctuality

- Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
- Pass a ten (10) year background check, pre-employment drug test and a criminal history records check
- Pass a five (5) year United States Postal Service background check
- Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraftKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Position requires extremely strenuous physical work involving objects in excess of 100 pounds occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds frequently. (Very Heavy)
