A Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), under the clinical direction of a registered nurse of physician provides a basic level of general nursing care to inmates. The LVN contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through medication management, emergency response, patient education and treatments.

**Starting Salaries:

Less than 12 months LVN experience

$3,878/month

12 months - 24 months full-time equivalent of LVN experience

$4,072/month

More than 24+ months full-time equivalent of LVN experience

$4,254/month

12 months - 24 months full-time equivalent of LVN experience

$4,680/month

More than 24+ months full-time equivalent of LVN experience

$4,777/month

* Bay Area institutions - Correctional Training Facility, Salinas Valley State Prison, and California State Prison, San Quentin

Requirements:

Possession of a valid, active license from the State of California to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
