Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation and communication of all preventive maintenance policies and procedures covering Solid Dosage pharmaceutical equipment. Your responsibilities are to ensure effective systems, policies and procedures are in place to minimize equipment downtime which includes unanticipated breakdowns, repairs, etc.
You will be responsible for supervising and oversees the day-to-day activities of a staff of 15 maintenance personnel including licensed Mechanics, Electricians, HVAC Technicians, etc. You will assists the Director of Engineering with special projects such as developing the sites’ capital budget, master plan, and related engineering services.
Primary Responsibilities
Ensure all pharmaceutical equipment at the manufacturing facilities are properly maintained and in optimum running condition so the site can achieve its budgeted production schedule.
You will also be responsible for identifying, selecting, and hiring quality personnel to fill authorized open positions in Maintenance; also responsible for administering salary, performance management and, if necessary, disciplinary procedures with his/her assigned staff personnel.
Play a significant role to ensure the successful installation of all pharmaceutical equipment.
Work in close conjunction with the Director of Engineering on repairs and installations of equipment.
Requirements
Qualifications/Experience
College degree and/or 7+ years pharmaceutical experience
Hands-on experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of granulation, blending, compression coating, printing, and encapsulation machines.
Hands-on experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of bottling, blisterpack, and cartoning machines.
