ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: • Respond to technical product issues, supporting proposals and evaluating customer applications. • Develop product support capabilities for customers, as well as capabilities to test hardware and software on the systems. • Conduct independent technical investigations involving the application of the principles of technology on various systems. • Provide answers to customer inquiries. • Build units\\application based on customer requirements and prepare product specifications, analyses and recommendations for customer approval as defined in the NPI process documents. • Provide follow-up support to RMA area on technical information on specific products. • Exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions and review with Engineering management before implementing. • Complete periodic reports indicating progress of technical projects and tasks. • Erroneous decisions or recommendations could have a negative impact on the operating objectives and future business opportunities of the company. • May assist with communication to customers on broad scope jobs, capabilities and future efforts. Under minimal supervision, responsible for engineering support of company storage products/systems. Respond for technical product issues, supporting proposals and evaluating customer applications. Provide technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products to ensure the system is functioning according to specifications. Conduct independent technical investigations involving the application of the principles of technology on various prototype systems. Provide answers to customer inquiries. May build units\\application based on customer requirements and prepare product specifications, analyses and recommendations presentation and approval. Select experiments, samples and result analysis. Assist sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications. Provide follow-up support in distributing technical information on specific applications. Exercise judgement within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.  EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: Requires a BS degree in a related field or the equivalent, and 5 years of applicable experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
