The program is looking for engineers – systems, software, electrical, mechanical, and product support -- to provide development, test, and verification expertise on what will be a company flagship, airborne radar surveillance system. The system applies state-of-the-art antenna and processing technologies to solve some of the most challenging requirements in the defense industry.

As a defense contractor, there are specific programs requiring a certain level of security clearance and special access for assigned staff. Overall, this means that a careful examination of an applicant\'s background will be made before the assignment of such work including financial records, foreign national contacts, motor vehicle driving records, any criminal convictions, etc. In addition, determining whether or not a candidate may have been denied employment or special consideration on a particular defense contractor\'s special program are all important elements in the assessment process after an offer is made. Not being able to secure the special accesses needed on some programs may result in the termination of employment if other suitable work is not assigned.

Job Description:

This is a senior leadership/management position responsible for all industrial security core competencies within El Segundo. Responsibilities include implementation and compliance with all US Government security requirements, provide guidance and direction (goals & objectives) to all security operations personnel, coordination with external and internal customers on physical, industrial and technical security requirements, development security-relevant business continuity and survivability plans and programs for the site, and interfacing with Raytheon Senior/Executive management with respect to business security activities. This position will coordinate physical security to safeguard personnel, property and facilities within the El Segundo campus, as well as, coordinate with civil law-enforcement. Responsible for oversight of plant protection services including employee and visitor entry and exit control, vehicle and foot patrols for security violations, traffic control, off hour supplemental patrols for security violations, crime and security violations preliminary investigations and emergency/critical incident response. Participates with the site team to assess the potential for workplace violence and recommends appropriate preventative/corrective actions. In addition, the person selected will develop site parking plan and procedures. Reviews building construction/remodel design plans.

This person must be able to communicate vision and strategies effectively with both Raytheon and strategic partner company officers.

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years in industrial security with increasing experience in management

Must have a solid background in successful management of all facets of corporate security operations, such as personnel security, NISPOM industrial security, physical security, information systems security, technical/facility security, security education and awareness training, and special investigations

Well versed with Special Programs security requirements

Excellent interpersonal and organizational management skills

Highly experienced in interfacing with Government customers and executive management

Strong and effective leadership skills

Familiar with NISPOM, NISPOM Supplement, Chapter 8, DCID’s, ITAR regulations, and COMSEC requirements

Existing Secret security clearance

Desired Skills:

Current experience with other security disciplines and processes (e.g. counterintelligence, antiterrorism, international security, etc

Education Requirement (including Major): (Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years experience in industrial security) OR (Associate’s Degree with 14+ years experience in industrial security) OR (High School Diploma with 18+ years experience in industrial security)
