Our mobile team is looking for highly motivated individual with extensive experience in mobile technologies to be part of our regional mobile engineering team. The individual needs to be a self starter and a fast learner and be able to work with various teams in US, Asia and Europe to develop and deploy mobile products and platforms for Yahoo!. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and deep technical knowledge in order to work productively with other engineers and team leads in the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Work with global mobile teams in Yahoo! to localize the mobile platforms and products to meet the needs of various markets.

• Work closely with the Yahoo! Mobile partnership teams to implement Yahoo! products with mobile carriers in the region.

• Work with the regional product management team to build mobile products important for the region.

• Evangelize Yahoo!’s open mobile products and platforms with the developers and publishers community in the region.

Requirements include the following

• The ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment

• Fast learner and strong sense of ownership of all the platforms and products

• Excellent communication – should be able to communicate to various teams globally

• Prior experience in managing large scale mobile projects

• Strong understanding of product quality and performance standards

• Ability to take initiative and be innovative

• Excellent problem solving and debugging skills

Required Skills

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field

• 2+ years of demonstrated industry experience

• Strong knowledge of PHP and Web standards

• Strong development background on UNIX

• Good understanding of algorithms and data structure
