Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas is in search of a Home Health PRN Occupational Therapist (Job Id# 17358).



Texas Health Dallas\'s Home Health is certified by Medicare, licensed by the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services and accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and provide the following Physical and Occupational Health Services:



- Cardiopulmonary services

- General conditioning

- Neurological services

- Orthopedic services



Work Hours/Schedule: PRN (as needed)



Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:

- BS or MS in Occupational Therapy

- Must be licensed as Occupational Therapist in the State of Texas

- CPR certification for Healthcare Providers or must certify within 90 days hire

- New Grads welcome to apply





Duties:

- Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment

- Performs treatment procedures that are within the scope of the professional license

- Performs/delegates technical procedures appropriately and safely

- Utilizes a variety of treatment techniques to achieve goals, if necessary

- Determine patient response to treatment and evaluate progress (reassessment)

- Educate patient and family through instruction, demonstration, or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home programs/self management and assistive equipment

- Patient safety maintained throughout treatment

- Communicates with physicians and other healthcare personnel as appropriate regarding patient care issues

- Demonstrates competence in the performance of age appropriate patient treatment and individualizes care based on age specific needsWe provide our Occupational Therapists with a wide range of benefits and we give flexibility to choose the options that are right for them.
