Description Take a career leap to the cutting edge of Internet marketing and account advocacy. The Cobalt Group-the leading provider of marketing services to the automotive industry, a Google AdWords Authorized Reseller, and a certified Yahoo! Ambassador-The Cobalt Group is seeking a Paid Search Operations Analyst. The Paid Search Analyst also sustains the Account Advocate responsibilities for a certain number of accounts in order to maintain hands on knowledge and customer interaction on day to day activities of this role. - Recommend and drive paid search performance and workflow criteria and guidelines for all Account Advocates
- Consult with Account Advocates to improve their ability to offer paid search optimization recommendations to clients
- Prepare network level paid search performance reporting to identify key areas for needed improvement
- Provide input and prioritization to Cobalt product management for the search product roadmap
- Prepare paid search training modules and coaching sessions for Account Advocates and other Support Services employees
- Consult closely with assigned clients to optimize their website presence and ensure that the website strategy is aligned with the customer's business objectives
- Monitor and analyze paid search campaigns at an individual dealer and network level and make recommended changes to improve performance metrics
- Effectively work with Cobalt's SEO, Account Advocates, Premium Services Support Specialists and fulfillment partners to develop and execute optimization plans that meet ROI and website enhancement requirements
- Drive regular and positive contact with clients to review program strategy and performance
- Prepare monthly performance reports for clients
- Prepare internal performance reports as specified by management
- Proactively review websites for necessary content changes, or performance issues
- Evaluate website, SEO and paid search performance metrics and identify areas requiring optimization
- Provide assistance in rolling out new search marketing initiatives as well as development and analysis of results
- Communicate platform changes and enhancements to customers
- Research and monitor industry news, trends and local market opportunities
- Help define and improve the business processes for fulfilling on Cobalt's premium service offerings
- Communicating additional sales opportunities to Cobalt's Account Executives
- Documentation of customer communication and optimization activity
- All other tasks and duties as assigned by management
Required Skills - Requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience managing paid search marketing campaigns with all major search engines.
- At least 3 years experience as an account manager, account coordinator, project coordinator, project manager, or similar position
- Proven ability to develop training and coaching materials to improve others skills in paid search
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact with high level contacts, both internal and external to the company and with technical and non-technical persons
- Proven presentation skills (in person and over the phone) to diverse audiences to review performance reports and account strategy and to train others on paid search practices
- Proven time management skills - must be able to work independently and handle multiple ongoing tasks with rapidly changing priorities
- Strong attention to detail while maintaining ability to see the big picture
- Knowledge of website management and design best practices
- Knowledge in areas of Search Engine Marketing (SEM) including: Search Engine Optimization (SEO), page optimization, keyword analysis, paid inclusion, pay per-click (PPC), Search Engine and Crawler Technology, ranking and site traffic measurement
- Exceptional expertise in paid search marketing practices and online advertising principles
- Exceptional expertise in optimizing, troubleshooting, reporting and maintaining paid search campaigns on all major search engines
- Proven business analysis skills and ability to analyze paid search performance trends and recommend improvement plans.
- Demonstrated ability to respond to customers and internal constituents in a competent and professional manner
