Receptionist - Pediatrics Clinic

Greets, registers, and directs patients in a professional manner. Efficiently schedules patient appointments according to established parameters as defined in Business Office Policy and Procedure Manual. Responsible for obtaining and maintaining complete and accurate registration records

1) Knowledge of business office procedures and medical records

2) Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation to type patient information

3) Skill in operating a computer

4) Skill in greeting patients and answering the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner

5) Ability to file and maintain patient records, files, and other correspondence

6) Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with patients, employees, and the public

7) High School Diploma or GED

8) One year of office experience, preferably in a medical facility. Computer experience desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology desirable

9) No certification or licensing required.
