SEA_Director, Sales - Best Buy

Position Summary



This position is responsible for all selling efforts for the entire Home Appliance product line. This includes strategic planning, new customer prospecting, attaining revenue targets, managing assigned promotional funds, P&L for accounts (controllable), advocating customer requirements internally, maintaining good relationships with customers, and leading efforts of sales managers and other support personnel.

Common Essential Duties & Resp.



* Maximize sales volume to meet assigned objectives

* Manage assigned budget funds

* Manage controllable P&L by customer

* Represent the sales team at internal HQ meetings

* Manage customer forecast

* Develop and implement annual and mid-term sales plans

* Drive sales efforts through interactions with all aspects of customer organization

* Lead prospecting for new customers

* Champion customer requirements internally and coordinate efforts to meet them

* Prepare and deliver sales presentations

* Manage customer meetings for trade shows

* Provide quality management and leadership for relevant aspects of customer relationship including:

* Direction of sales team to meet sales objectives

* Coaching of team to maximize contribution

* Direction and coordination of non-sales resources to maintain customer relationships and positive attitudes towards Home Appliance

* Provide accurate and timely information to management for product and market forecasting requirements



Background/Experience



* Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred

* 10+ years of sales experience in consumer products with a strong appreciation of sales and the retail environment; knowledge of or experience in our key retail accounts would be ideal

* Supervisory/managerial experience

* Excellent sales skills

* Strong negotiation skills

* Strong presentation skills

* Solid coaching skills (team leadership)
