SUMMARY: The SME/Business Analyst for Payroll and Stock Administration must have a sound functional understanding of payroll and stock administration and the integration points between finance and HR. This person is responsible for successful implementations of new or enhanced payroll and stock administration software or enhanced business process changes. This includes testing, compatibility and ease of use. This position will focus on projects driven from the Payroll and Treasury Teams and will work in conjunction with current business SME's in other departments on cross-functional projects. This position provides first line trouble-shooting for finance issues and elevates issues as needed internally and externally (HR, IST & PeopleSoft). The SME/Business Analyst for Payroll and Stock Administration also translates business strategy into operational terms including identifying areas for process improvements, implementing new processes and applying best practices through software or manual solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research and resolve application problems, or those areas deemed as problems amongst the user community, including logging cases with PeopleSoft/Oracle.
- Has strong understanding of HR best practices and complies with all HR policies and legal compliance issues stemming from access to confidential data.
- Understand and follow GMCR's HR data security practices internally and externally. Internally, only individuals in the Payroll, HR, and Treasury Department have authorized access to employee data.
- Participate as a Finance team member. Give input and direction, help form team decisions that impact Finance, and help direct changes to business activities that will impact the Finance area.
- Develop and maintain queries/sequel/reports in support of the Payroll and Stock Administration systems/processes.
- Team participant on special project teams as necessary to ensure that Finance impacts are favorable, or at least minimized.
- Review, test, document all software vendor upgrades/fixes.
- Write test cases and execute testing for fixes and new functionality.
- Design business process flows, develop and support user documentation in support of Payroll and Stock Administration systems/applications.
- Train Super Users and End Users as new processes and systems are implemented.
- Responsible for prioritizing business/Information systems tools changes for Finance.
OTHER NECESSARY FUNCTIONS:
- Follows all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by GMCR and the department.
- Performs other duties as requested by management.
- Some travel required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/experience:
- Bachelor's degree, major in accounting preferred, minor in Computer Science a plus.
Technical Skills:
- 5 plus years experience working with PeopleSoft HR Payroll or Stock Administration modules.
- Experience with Kronos Time Keeper a plus.
- Ability to work independently without supervisor support on employee data projects and ability to seek support from authorized individuals.
- Ability to maintain the highest standard of confidentiality around employee data and operate under HR's security practices.
- Computer user and software application management skills.
- Knowledgeable of how business process decisions will impact the business financially.
- Spreadsheet manipulation capability coupled with exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
- Broad knowledge and understanding of other PeopleSoft HR modules.
- A clear grasp of the big picture in business. The ability to see across the departments and follow the interaction between departments as business processes are executed.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to enable influencing the business process teams to get results.
- Ability to uphold Safety standards, participate in Continuous Process Improvement on the job, and follow our Manufacturing best practices.
- Ability to get along with others, be punctual, and follow instructions.
- Ability to follow GMCR policies and procedures as well as our Operating principles.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Predominately sedentary light office position with high frequency of keyboarding/computer work required (67% - 100% of the workday).
