For more information, visit http://www.goodrich.comManufacturing Engineer to work with our Electronic and Mechanical Engineers to design, develop and aid in the manufacture Electro-mechanical assemblies and systems. While this position will be dealing primarily with mechanical and electronic assemblies, almost all of the work that is done at this facility contains optics. Familiarity with handling optics would be desirable.
Should be able to generate a workflow which accurately defines tasks and estimated times to completion. Experienced in writing a detailed set of instructions (Manufacturing Operation Sheet) which detail the assembly process for our hardware and has the ability to design tooling to support these tasks.
Experienced with building \"flight\" hardware. Should be familiar with the following functions.
-Working with and building hardware in a clean room.
-Handling equipment that is static sensitive.
-Aware of MIL Specs, ISO requirements and DFMA.
-Continuous Improvement
Familiar with NASA or J-Standard soldering techniques. Solder certification is not required but would be a plus.
Familiarity with the Pro/E design tool. Must be able to read and work with engineer generated Pro/E drawings. Being able to produce Pro/E drawings would be a plus but will train as required.
Should be familiar with working with a number of different materials such as graphite epoxy, beryllium, titanium, various aluminums and steels. Should also be familiar with various adhesive and epoxies.
Must be a good communicator both verbally and in writing. Must be able to work with both internal and external customers.
BS in Electrical Engineering and at least ten years experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in the aerospace industry.
Able to generate detailed workflows (Manufacturing Operation Sheets) for complex mechanical and electric assemblies.
Experience in working various materials, metals and adhesives (epoxies).
Experienced with Pro/E would be desired.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Tools. Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio and project.
