Sr. Network EngineerCandidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining and supporting computer communication networks within an organization and between organizations. Goal is to ensure the smooth operation of communication networks in order to provide maximum performance and availability for users.

Responsibilities:
• Ability to configure and troubleshoot Cisco devices (Cisco routers and Cisco switches), VOIP.
• Build and support network infrastructure, assist or lead various projects.
• Assist in implementing network changes
• Respond to trouble tickets, perform troubleshooting on the LAN/WAN and repair of hardware malfunction, configuration errors and telecommunication circuits and services outages.
• Layer networking (ATM, Frame-Relay, MPLS, etc)
• Maintain and administer network infrastructure standards, documentation, processes and procedures.
• Monitor alarms of network and switches systems, monitor traffic statistics and utilization of network resources.
• Work with Global team concerning infrastructure and related LAN and WAN issues.
• Traveling is required
• Participate on-call rotation

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 5-7 years experience Network Engineer
• Cisco switches and routers (5-7 years experience)
• Knowledge of networking architecture, including LAN and WAN technologies and management.
• Excellent skills with documentation standards and network diagramming
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of telecommunications system and carrier services.
• Ability to work in a team environment and/or as an individual contributor, as required.
 
Skills:
• Experience with Cisco routers, Cisco switches and various telecommunication equipment.
• Experience with Cisco IOS, Cisco voice gateways, ACLs, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, etc)
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification
• Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification
• Knowledge of telephony protocols, including SIP, H.323, SS7 and ISDN.
• Switching protocols, spanning tree, VTP, Port grouping
• Monitoring tools (Cisco Works, HP PI, HPOV, SCOM)
• IP subnetting
• TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, NAT, VLANs, Inter-VLAN Routing
• Sniffer software
• Structured Cabling
• Strong working knowledge on Microsoft Visio and Office Suite
