Unique opportunity for an experienced Visual Designer with a passion for creating compelling and satisfying user experiences to join the Yahoo!

The Premium Services Infrastructure (PSI) team provides a feature-rich ordering and billing platform that powers a number of audience and advertising business units within Yahoo!, Over a million dollars a day pass through our systems making it one of the largest billing systems solutions!

As an Interaction Designer, you will work with development teams across Yahoo! to create concepts, models and design user interfaces in order to advance the experience of ordering premium services offered by Yahoo! (PSI).

As an interaction designer, you will work with the product team to identifying requirements and developing user-models. You will work closely with the development team to design and prototype your models and manage their usability testing in Yahoo!’s labs.

You will help in crafting a terrific user experience, and working with engineers to push the limits of technology. You will also be working with the product team closely to communicate such limitations and come up with substitutions and contingencies.

You will conduct the necessary front-end research and support usability efforts throughout the product development cycle. You will work closely with visual designers to achieve a branded look-and-feel that meets existing corporate standards and guidelines.

Skill Requirement:

- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles

- 5+ years of experience designing web or software applications

- Formal education in interaction design, digital design, or related field preferred

- Solid knowledge of core web graphics tools (e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop, Fireworks…) and understanding of current web technologies

- Mastery of web design principles, information design, typography, color, layout
